The idea behind the creation of Sporty Shields stemmed from one of my family’s most treasured memories – an occasion when my younger brother’s soccer team won a college championship, and he was awarded a medal to commemorate the achievement.

The joy that our whole family felt as we gathered to celebrate the victory was something truly precious, but as he already had many medals and trophies on his bedroom wall, the new one was just another sports trophy that paled into insignificance amongst all the others.

After seeing how his newly awarded club trophy faded into the background, I started thinking about how it would be so much better to give customized sports items that really stood out from the crowd and marked the special moment in a unique and unusual way.
